From 1981-2003 he worked in the «Sharakan» and later «Tagharan» ensembles (headed by G. Danielyan, 1989-1990) as an udist, lute and guitarist. He has performed many elaborations and transcriptions of medieval and modern Armenian and European authors for oud and guitar. He has traveled to different countries (Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina). In 1986 he participated in the first international folk music competition with the musicians of Eastern countries in Baku and was awarded the 2nd prize.
Since 1986 he has been working at the Alexander Spendiaryan Music School. In 2003, due to his medical condition, he gave up performing on stage and teaching until the end of his life.
